I'M BRAD REECE, sucka!

Really, though, I am a now 30-something, white, heterosexual male living in an apartment with my girlfriend and her daughter in Southern California, South OC to be specific.  I am now working as a full time employee for a medical device company as a an IT architect. and I drive a Honda Element to work each day.  I love that little vehicle because I can put all of my favorite things in there and then drive somewhere with them.  I have lots of interesting and [coincidentally] expensive hobbies that I can't really afford, a big TV, a black cat, some nice clothes, lots of shoes, and fine men's fragrances...oh, and an iPod.  My friend Jeff summed me up decisively when he told me, "Brad, you're modern man, man!"

I started out hating programming in college, but somehow I ended up working for the last 9 years of my life doing just that.  Since I realized the power of  programming I have come to really enjoy practicing it.  That's especially good for me since it has become my career.  So, I really enjoy my job.  It's not just somewhere that I have to go to each day to crank out some work for the "man."  I actually have fun doing it...most of the time.

Before I started working, I was a physics and applied mathematics student at CSULB.  I took so many classes.  I should have had two degrees, but I ended up falling into a really good job and I dropped out in my senior year.  I have regrets about not getting my degrees, but I don't think I would change anything.  My life is good.  I am back in school at the University of Phoenix to get my degree in Information Technology.  It's not nearly as bad-ass as physics and applied mathematics, but I will be pleased to have my degree finally.  A Ph.D is a long-term objective.

When I am not working or studying, I am out riding mountain bikes.  I am completely obsessed.  If I can't ride, then I think about it, talk about it, or watch videos again and again trying to figure out how to get faster on the downhill.  If I have money and the shop is open, I go buy stuff.  Occasionally, I surface to hang out with family and friends.  Sometimes I take the opportunity to eat and bathe, but not too often!  Kidding, people.

That's enough about me.  Let's get to something more interesting!
